Peter Thompson

Peter Thompson holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney and has extensive experience across the aviation and mining industries. Currently, he is Technical Flight Training Manager at a major Australian airline and has held a Commercial Pilot’s Licence for close to 30 years flying Aeroplanes such as the Airbus A380 to international destinations around the globe . In mining, Peter specialises in technical downhole survey equipment and software solutions. He has also served in strategic leadership roles, including board positions on mining companies in SE Asia alongside founding and funding NRL Asia and ASEAN RL to promote grassroots Rugby League in the region. He also runs a successful real estate and finance company in Australia. A native of Sydney, but spending many of his formative years living in Hong Kong Peter moved to the UK in the early 90s to play Rugby league in Castleford, Yorkshire before returning to Australia to play. Peter is massive St George iIlawarra Dragons fan who compete in the NRL alongside having a keen interest in UFC and regularly follows and supports the Australian UFC fighters overseas.
